Science- Ego System projects. We had four days of in class work, projects will be due on Tuesday, May 5th. Presentations will begin that day.
Science final will be Monday, May 18th. I will go over major concepts the week prior to the exam.
Language Arts- We are finishing our novel unit. Our novel packets should be completed in class unless your student does not finish during this time. Projects are also completed in class.
Language Arts final will be Tuesday, May 19th.
Social Studies- We will be working on Civil War scrapbooks in class.
Social Studies will be Monday, May 18th. They will have a study guide to work on, but the final will be closed notes.
Math- We will be starting a new book dealing with accentuating the negative.
Math final will be given on Tuesday, May 19th.

Math- Continue work on "What Do You Expect" (book). Mathmate due Friday. Student's will have a quiz over the previous day's lesson EVERY DAY.
Social Studies- Starting our Presidential Unit. Further instructions will be given in class.
Language Arts- Student's will be reading their novels (we are in a novel unit) that they picked last week in class. They are also working across team on their character biographies with the Froot Loops. All reading and project work days should be completed in class. However, if your student misses a day of reading or responding in his/her packet, he/she will need to arrange a time to make up the reading or finish their responses in their packets. Due to the limited novels available, all reading will need to be made up at school.
Science- Chapter 18 vocabulary test will be Tuesday, April 21st. Next week we will be talking about population patterns and the following week we will be starting our research project on Eco systems.

Math-Tuesday and Thursday students are in their CSAP groups. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we are continuing work on Comparing and Scaling. Math Mate due Friday!
Social Studies- Students have been given their student/teacher assignments, which will start February 23rd. This week we will be completing our black history month project in class. The end result will be a formal essay over their research.
Science- We are beginning a new chapter on Taxonomy/Classification. On Thursday, February 13th, students were assigned chapter 7 vocabulary words. This test will be on Thursday, February 26th.
Language Arts- Fictional and personal narratives were due last week. Check infinite campus to see if you student turned his/her story in. We are beginning our reading workshop on Tuesday. Students will be given time in class to work on this. They will be notified ahead of time if they need to finish anything at home.
