2/2-2/6

Science- Students will be working on projects for digestive system and presenting them starting on Thursday. On Wednesday, we plan to dissect frogs.

Social Studies- Students will finish the notes from the Lewis & Clark video and start the centers about Lewis & Clark and the Corps of discovery to learn more about their exploration.

Language Arts- Students are starting this writing workshop on team. Most writing will be completed in class. We will specifically be covering fictional and personal narratives for the next 10 days. Grammar assignments from their grammar packets may come home for homework. We'll see what we can accomplish in class.

Math- Math Mate due Friday. We will be working on Investigation 2 out of their math books in class.

1/26-1/30

Social Studies- Watching a video and taking notes on Lewis & Clark and their exploration.

Science- Finishing up the Respiratory System and assigning chapter 22 & 24. Vocabulary words on Tuesday.

Math- I will be sending home a letter telling what students passed and failed on the basic skills test from the last two week.s Math mate will be due this Friday.

Language Arts- We are finishing our grammar packet focusing on the eight parts of speech. We will begin our Writing Workshop. All work will be completed in class.

1/12-1/15

Enjoy your four day weekend!!

Science- On Tuesday, January 13th, students will be given an oral test of pulmonary circulation. We will be reviewing for a chapter test either on Thursday of this week, or the beginning of the following week.

Math- CSAP basic skills all week. No homework.

Social Studies- We will have a test over George Washington's presidency on Thursday, January 15th.

Language Arts- All work will be completed in class. Students are continuing their compare/contrast writing lesson, and will be writing a compare/contrast essay this week. We will begin our Hammer the Grammar unit this week, which will continue next week. No homework.
