Science- Test will be over chapter 7 the beginning of next week.
Language Arts- Test over grammar, figurative language, etc. on Monday, March 2nd. Students have a study guide, and we have gone over the guide this week. CSAP Prep.

2/23-2/27
Math- We will continue working on last weeks assignments. Math Mate this Friday. See previous blog for details.
Science- Chapter 7 vocabulary test in on Thursday, January 26th. We will also be finishing up chapter seven and will be taking this test the beginning of next week.
Social Studies- Students will be teaching their lessons from the social studies book.
Language Arts- We are continuing our reading skills workshop the beginning of the week. We will move to expository writing practice before CSAP.

No School Monday! It's President's Day!
Math-Tuesday and Thursday students are in their CSAP groups. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we are continuing work on Comparing and Scaling. Math Mate due Friday!
Social Studies- Students have been given their student/teacher assignments, which will start February 23rd. This week we will be completing our black history month project in class. The end result will be a formal essay over their research.
Science- We are beginning a new chapter on Taxonomy/Classification. On Thursday, February 13th, students were assigned chapter 7 vocabulary words. This test will be on Thursday, February 26th.
Language Arts- Fictional and personal narratives were due last week. Check infinite campus to see if you student turned his/her story in. We are beginning our reading workshop on Tuesday. Students will be given time in class to work on this. They will be notified ahead of time if they need to finish anything at home.

Science- Finish up presentations on digestive systems. Then we will review for the essential skills test on Human Anatomy. This test will be towards the end of the week.
Math- Continue to work on comparing and scaling. Math Mate is due this Friday.
